A Guide to be Learned for Blogging

In this emergency time, going out is considered to be risky due to the covid-19, let us hope that everything is going to be well and better soon. For the same reason, the policy had students to study at home and do online class activities.

During the two weeks of Study from Home (SfH), I've read the e-book titled "The Ultimate Guide to Blogging" that contains a lot of useful information and insights about blogging (Yes, I read this in these two weeks period because I had to spare some other time to do my other assignments). The book is, in my opinion, particularly dedicated for those who are interested in doing business with their blogs since it talks a lot about company that use blogs as its easiest platform to promote their products (because it's efficient and low-cost, most of the time).

 Through this guide, I can take a deeper knowledge about blogging stats, facts, and insights. It is said that blogging is beneficial as it can produce money for the users (if they work for a certain company that needs their skills on blogging). Of course, the matter of big or small the company truly matters for the bloggers. If the company manages to have significant SEO, it can be a magnet that draws customers to the site.

Not only that, I also learn about the 12 reasons of why companies should invest in blogging, which covers the ease of using blogs, as well as points how it serves to be beneficial to the company such as it provides branded context for the content, a 24/7 communicate platform, it supplies content for social media interactions, and its flexibility on supporting diverse initiatives.

In the guide, it also gives the strategy on building blog and its content. The most important thing is to determine the blog's business objectives. Among the top business blog goals are to build the brand, expand reach, support sales and position senior executives. In addition to this, there are three key points to consider while blogging, these cover to encourage conversations, to be a good netizen, and to loosen up by authenticty trumps perfection while connecting with the readers.

Furthermore, the guide also included some other points in the strategy, such as outlining creative elements that involves colour scheme, typography, post length and the use of other media. Some other points are compiling a list of regular features and columns, organizing the blog teams, and implementing blog article guidelines since it may support the blogger on how to write effectively for a blog.

Of course, I will not mention ALL of the materials that I've learnt in the book since it will be too long.
